If you wish to apply for your gas supply to be disconnected by National Grid you will be required to complete and submit the attached Application Form to the Disconnection team, as detailed in ‘Contact us’. We would be grateful if you could complete the form as fully as possible. Once we have received your application we will send you a Quotation for the work, together with an Acceptance and Payment Form for you to sign and return.
Guidance
The following provides guidance to the information required when completing your Request Form. The numbers on the paragraphs below refer to the numbered sections on the request form.
Please complete the first section of the form with the contact details, company details, full address details, including postcode, and details of how we can contact you. In the job address section can you please indicate the address and details of the location where the works are to take place. Please ensure that the postcode is included.
- Please indicate the reason for your request.
- Please advise the intended date for the disconnection to take place.
- Please advise the Meter Point Reference Number of all meters at the premises that are to be disconnected. Please note that you will need to contact your gas supplier to have the meter removed. If you do not know who your gas supplier is, please contact +44 (0)870 608 1524. All metering equipment must be removed from site prior to our visit to disconnect the service(s).
- To assist as in locating the position of the service, can you please provide an indication of where the service(s) enter the property that is to be demolished.
- Please provide a map of the site indicating the full extent to the site boundaries.
