Pricing Consultation Paper PC81

Interruptible Transportation Charging

The attached Pricing Consultation paper, PC81, sought views on the potential amendment to the transportation methodology by which a shipper may receive transportation credits for supply point interruption in excess of 15 days within a year. Within a system balancing climate of a tightening supply and demand position, Transco proposes to remove interruption arising for supply demand management from the criteria by which a shipper may become eligible to receive greater than 15 day interruption transportation credits.

Responses to this paper were requested by 14th June 2004.

Transco has now published its conclusion report and final proposal in respect of Pricing Consultation PC81 for consideration by the Authority within the 28 day review period.

The PC81 proposal was vetoed by Ofgem for reasons set out within its decision letter. The proposal will therefore not be implemented.
