Following the consultation on PC79, "Review of the Charge for the Provision of an Estimated Opening Read", Ofgem has decided not to exercise its right of veto under ASLC4A in respect of the final proposal in the Consultation Report on PC79, namely

"That the present charge for the provision of an Opening Read Estimate for the below 73,200 kWh market sector should cease with effect from 1 September 2004."

Transco therefore gives notice that the charge for the provision of an Opening Read Estimate for the below 73,200 kWh market sector, currently £1.13 per estimate, will cease to be applied with effect from 1 September 2004.
