Public consultation: Bramford to Twinstead 400kV overhead line project

As our proposals evolve and develop we would like to hear the views of communities and interested parties in the area. We will use this feedback to shape our plans and proposals where possible.

Our statement of community consultation sets out how we propose to undertake this consultation and the consultation zone map shows where we will be consulting on route corridor options.

The main consultation stages are described below along with a number of ways in which you can express your views on the project and route corridor options.

Consultation stages

Stage One: Consultation on route corridor options (27 October 2009 - 28 February 2010)

Stage 1 public consultation finished on 28 February 2010.

Public Exhibitions

We are held a series of exhibitions where local people were able to view our proposals, talk to project team representatives and record their comments.

Stage Two: Consultation on route alignment

Following feedback from Stage One of the public consultation on the route corridor options, we will show how people's views have been taken into account in deciding on a preferred route corridor option.

National Grid will then develop a preferred route alignment - a specific potential route for the proposed overhead line - within the preferred route corridor.

We will then carry out a further consultation and environmental surveys.
