What do I need to do in order to reduce my Connection Entry Capacity (CEC) / Transmission Entry Capacity (TEC)?
To reduce CEC / TEC, customers need to provide National Grid with a Modification Application this can be found by clicking the following link below
Modification Application
Along with the Modification Application form customers also need to provide the relevant technical data & application fee, please refer to The Statement of Use of System Charges for the appropriate fee. Once National Grid has received all the above, this will trigger the clock start date which is the trigger point for making the offer to a customer within a defined timescale.
Please note that TEC is charged to customers from 1 April to 31 March inclusive. Therefore a decrease in TEC within a financial year will mean that customers will only start to be charged the amended TEC rate from the 1 April of the following financial year.
