The CUSC is a licensed based code that sets out the principal rights and obligations of each party for connection to or use of the GB transmission system. The code also sets out provisions in relation to balancing services.

Grid Code
The Grid Code sets out the operating procedures and principles that underpin National Grid’s relationship with all users of the GB Transmission System. The code explicitly explains the day to day procedures for planning and operational purposes.
