Application Forms & Fees

To apply for connection to the distribution system, customers need to provide a completed application form, the relevant cleared application fee and the appropriate technical data (defined as a ‘competent’ application). Once all these conditions have been met National Grid and the relevant Transmission Owner(s) if applicable will start developing the agreement for the customer.

Application forms are available from the National Grid website. Once completed they can be sent to:-

Application Fee
The application fee is dependant on the location of the proposed site, the size of the project. A breakdown of the application fees for a connection to the distribution system is shown below, The Statement of Use of System Charges, Issue 2, Revision 1.
