Any customer wishing to connect to a distribution system should initially contact the Distribution Network Operator to discuss the proposed connection. Please refer to the Distribution Network Operator Map for the relevant Distribution Network Operator for the area where you are looking to connect.
If you are a small or medium sized power station (please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions to confirm the size of your power station) and you do not wish to have access rights to the transmission system (a Bilateral Embedded Generation Agreement) then no agreement will be needed with National Grid to facilitate your connection. All agreements will be with the Distribution Network Operator.
