Short-Term Operating Reserve (STOR)

Short Term Operating Reserve (STOR) is a service for the provision of additional active power from generation and/or demand reduction.

As part of the results and conclusions of National Grid’s reserve review conducted over 2005, Short Term Operating Reserve has been introduced as a replacement for Standing Reserve.  All providers wishing to tender availability under this contract form now require a Framework Agreement in place.
