National Grid BM-EDL

This site provides software updates and patches for licensed copies of National Grid's EDL Software and the software that provides the common message layer - CTC Message Server/Client

To download a patch or update file, click on the relevant hyperlink and choose the 'save this program to disk' option. Once the file is saved on your local hard disk, just double click (or run) it and choose a suitable location in which to expand all the files.

CTC Message Client Software

The CTC Message Client - Windows NT4 Server version (full install pack)
(ctcmc.exe v1.5.0.0)

Windows 2000 - ctcmc.exe (executable only) *** Pre-requisite is that the full install pack should have been run ***
(ctcmc.exe v2.0.0.0)

The procedure for carrying out the upgrade is as follows:
1. Logon as administrator
2. Stop the CTC Message Client service
3. Rename the existing c:\program files\national grid\ctc message client\ctcmc.exe to ctcmc.001
4. Copy the new ctcmc.exe into the folder
5. Restart the service

Windows 2003 / XP - ctcmc.exe (executable only) *** Pre-requisite is that the full install pack should have been run ***
(ctcmc.exe v2.0.3.0)

The procedure for carrying out the upgrade is as follows:

  1. Logon as administrator
  2. Stop the CTC Message Client service
  3. Rename the existing c:\program files\national grid\ctc message client\ctcmc.exe to ctcmc.001
  4. Copy the new ctcmc.exe into the folder
  5. Restart the service

Note: Mutli-homed servers may need to have static routes added in order to make a solid connection to these sources.
