West Boldon Environmental Education Centre

West Boldon Environmental Education Centre has 12 hectares of land, which contains a wide variety of habitats. The centre has become a training provider to environmental specialists and teachers and more informally via public events.

Public events the centre provides include: spring fruits (wild food event), minibeast safaris, witch and wizard workshops, willow weaving workshops and many more. Programmes that are most popular at West Boldon include plants, trees, food chains and minibeast’s.

The centre is open all year round for full and half day visits, the activities are not only for School groups, but for scout and guide associations, local playgroups, community groups and youth projects.
