Skelton Grange Environmental Education Centre

Skelton Grange Environment Centre is located in South Leeds and is managed by BTCV with support from Leeds City Council.

The eco-friendly building is found in a 6 acre site adjacent to the River Aire, with a range of different habitats including ponds, young woodland, meadows and a food growing area.

The centre works with children and young people, offering a wide range of environmentally-themed education days for primary school children, Wild in the Woods forest school sessions, and outdoor playschemes during school holidays.

It offers fantastic volunteer development opportunities, helping people to develop their skills in working with children and the environment, and also runs training sessions and practical conservation workdays for adults.  An annual Open Day gives everyone the chance to explore this innovative project
