The key focus of this role is to support and provide assistance to a Delivery Engineer ensuring the effective day-to-day utilisation of resources and prioritisation of work. You’ll also undertake a range of duties on plant and equipment to a defined standard that may include maintenance, site delivery of projects, commissioning, complex fault investigation and repair, safety implementation and monitoring.
You’ll need wide-ranging experience within substations and in-depth technical knowledge relating to the electrical and safety aspects of the plant. With the ability to manage and lead a team, you will also be experienced in planning and budget management. As a minimum you’ll need an HNC or equivalent in an engineering subject, membership of the IIE or similar, with an IOSH or NEBOSH certificate and full driving licence.
