ENGAGE:DELIVER

As one of the world’s largest investor-owned energy companies, National Grid is proud to play a vital role in delivering energy to millions of customers across Great Britain and the Northeast United States. Committed to efficiency, reliability and safety, we are also dedicated to safeguarding the environment. We know that our talented, diverse workforce is as important to our success as ongoing investment in our systems.

In this role you will monitor marine aspects of the unloading of LNG carriers to ensure both industry and corporate standards are met. Working outdoors in all weathers, attending ships arriving and departing from the terminal on a rota basis, you will provide vital support to the Marine Superintendent. Computer literate, with a flexible approach to your work, you will ideally combine marine experience on ships or jetties with a background in LNG operations. Familiarity with marine industry guidelines, procedures and standards relating to ships carrying hazardous cargoes is essential. Knowledge of process plant activities would also be an advantage. You must either hold an HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering or marine discipline or demonstrate proven relevant experience.
