Grain LNG, Europe's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, is thrilled to announce that it has achieved a new record for the number of ships berthed at its terminal for the financial year April 2022 to March 2023
Grain LNG successfully berthed a total of 102 ships during the period, breaking its previous record of 71 ships set in the financial year 2019 – 2020. This milestone highlights the terminal's reliability, efficiency, and operational capabilities, further cementing its position as a key player in the global LNG industry.
Grain's infrastructure, including its two jetties, large storage capacity, and flexible supply chain, has allowed it to accommodate a wide range of vessels and handle significant volumes of LNG shipments from around the world. Its world-class facilities, combined with its highly skilled and experienced team, have enabled the terminal to consistently meet customer nominations and provide a reliable and sustainable source of energy to the UK and beyond.
Grain's success in the highly competitive LNG market is testament to its long-term vision, strategic planning, and ongoing investment in infrastructure and technology. Grain is expanding the terminal by approximately 20% with a new LNG tank and associated delivery infrastructure. This will ensure Grain continues to cement its place in providing the UK with energy security.
