This is The Year in Industry
The Year in Industry is a government-recognised national scheme for students who have decided to take a year out before or during university. Generally the placement starts sometime between June and August and finishes the following summer. During that time, you’ll work predominately in one area of our business, working on live projects with experienced people who are keen to help you learn and make the most of your time here. It’s certainly not all about sitting and watching. We want people to come in and contribute.
Students have The Year in Industry training towards a qualification in Management and Personal Development, which is presented by the Chartered Management Institute as part of the placement year. This involves a real mix of learning (lectures and other training activities) and practical assignments, which may include team dynamics, quality and customer care, personal development planning, recruitment and selection; developing people, and planning work.
Once you complete the training, you receive the Level 3 certificate in Management. And at the end of it, you get the opportunity to apply for our Sponsored Student Programme. And then, you could be into the Graduate Development Programme.
