This award-winning scheme will turn your interest in practical issues into a long-term career, where you’ll constantly learn and develop new skills.

It can take up to 3 years to complete, and you’ll do half your learning on the job, and half in formal study and training which will take place on residential courses away from home. By the end of the scheme you’ll be a skilled craftsperson with relevant qualifications, and can look forward to an interesting and rewarding career in our business.

For our next intake, in September 2010 we are taking on Apprentices into our Substations team.  This means the Advanced Apprenticeship Programme we offer will teach you everything you need to know in order to maintain high-voltage plant and equipment in over 330 electrical substations.

Our Apprenticeship scheme has been given a Beacon award, which means it’s recognised for excellence and innovation in further education training – so it’s one of the best you’ll find anywhere.
