Foundation Engineer-FAQ
What is the Foundation Engineering Programme?
In brief, it’s a 36-month programme that leads to a professional qualification – such as the Power System Protection Course, a highly respected qualification within the ESI, and (where applicable) a power-specific Foundation Degree. The 36 month scheme will include on job training, in the vicinity of your base location and off job training at National Grid’s Technical Training Centre at Eakring in Nottinghamshire and various specialist training venues. You will be supported by a personal on job mentor and off job Programme Training Specialist. The training scheme will develop you in terms of Technical theory & practical, project management, communication and a range of engineering business skills.
