“A business like National Grid is always looking at how it can develop and grow, whether organically or through acquisition.  I’m now into my second placement and focusing on Business Development.  By the very nature of the department, we are constantly investigating opportunities around the globe.  Recently I got to go to the Middle East to look into a potential prospect and met some of the key people out there.  Maybe this isn’t typical for a graduate, but it’s been a great experience and it has really got my career off to a great start.
