- 'Big Tick' award for National Grid and npower

National Grid and npower have been awarded a prestigious ‘Big Tick’ for our commitment to corporate responsibility. The Power in Partnership award was presented at the annual Business in the Community Awards for Excellence to the two companies for their involvement in the ‘Warm Wales’ initiative, which is also supported by Neath Port Talbot Borough Council and Wrexham County Borough Council.

Business in the Community have today announced the results of the 2007 Corporate Responsibility Index.
National Grid has once again been recognised as a 'Platinum' company - one that scores 95% or over. National Grid is one of only two companies to have achieved this top-tier ranking every year since the index was launched six years ago.

National Grid has won the Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) ‘Outstanding Achievement in Program Implementation Award’ for its energy efficiency programs, which have been available to National Grid’s US customers for more than 20 years.
