The economy of the countries and regions in which we operate benefits from our investment in plant and equipment to renew, reinforce and extend our transmission and distribution networks.

Our capital expenditure in 2007/08 on our gas, electricity and non-regulated businesses (continuing operations) was £3,053 million, up some 30% on the previous year.
