During 2008/09, we generated some 1.2 million tonnes (80 tonnes per £million of revenue) of waste.

Of the 1.2 million tonnes of waste generated,  some 74% was recycled or reused.

There is no direct comparison with previous years due to the first time inclusion of waste data for the ex-KeySpan operations.
