This perspective looks at how we have interacted with our employees during 2007/08:
- 22.5%* of our workforce are female compared with 23.7% in 2006/07
- 12.3%* of our workforce are black or minority ethnic compared with 7.3% in 2006/07
- Substantiated breaches of our Strandards of Ethical Business Conduct rose to 11.6 per 1000 employees in 2007/08 compared with 8.0 in 2006/07
- We once again achieved The Times Top 50 UK ‘where women want to work’ status
- Both National Grid and KeySpan (prior to its acquisition) scored 100% in the US Human Rights Campaign’s 2007 Corporate Equality Index.
