Waste
During 2010/11, we generated some 1.7 million tonnes (2009/10: 1.3 million tonnes), which equates to some 118 tonnes per £million of revenue (2008/09: 91 tonnes) of waste.
The majority of the increase between 2009/10 and 2010/11 was attributable to land remediation activities.
Of the million tonnes of waste generated, some 74% (2008/09: 77%) was recycled or reused.
There is no direct comparison prior to 2008/09 due to the first time inclusion of waste data for the ex-KeySpan operations.
