Business in the Community (BITC) has announced the results of its 2009 Corporate responsibility Index and National Grid has been rated a Platinum Plus company for the second year in a row.
A Platinum company is one that scores greater or equal to 95% in the annual corporate responsibility index and undergoes an additional assessment by BITC to evidence a long term, embedded commitment to operating responsibly.
National Grid is one of only two companies to achieve a top-tier ranking for all eight of the years the Index has been running.
