For the second year, National Grid has retained its position in the 'RateMyPlacement.co.uk' Top 50 Placement and Internship Employer rankings, and this year achieved the JobCrowd Top 50 in 'Companies for graduates to work for in 2011'.
The RateMyPlacement Guide is designed to showcase the best organisations when it comes to undergraduate placements and internship schemes. National Grid achieved position 32 this year, ahead of a number of similar engineering employers.
The JobCrowd Top 50 Companies for graduates to work for in 2011 highlights employers who have provided their graduate employees with outstanding opportunities and experience.
This year National Grid achieved position 14, equal with Saatchi & Saatchi and above Proctor & Gamble, Waitrose, Unilever, BP, BSkyB, GE, Citigroup, Grant Thornton, IBM, HSBC, L’Oreal, Kraft Foods, Tesco, Centrica and KPMG. Over 50,000 copies of the guide will be distributed to universities across the UK.
These rankings are a critical signpost to bring new talent into the company through the Graduate Development Programme or directly into the business.
A Students' 'Guide to the Top 50 Placement & Internship Employers' will be distributed to university campuses nationwide.
