National Grid finished seventh out of 25 entries in the recent CR Reporting Awards (CRRA’12) in the "Creativity in Communications” category for its 2010/11 Social Purpose Report. This award recognises the report which best succeeds in getting its message across, using creativity as a defining factor.

National Grid has once again showed that it is an employer of choice by being included in the ‘The Times Top 50 Employers for Women’ list for the sixth year running.
The Times Top 50 Employers for Women list is free to enter for any employer with a UK presence and involves a comprehensive submission process, which is managed and judged by Opportunity Now, the gender campaign from Business in the Community.

National Grid has just awarded the University of Massachusetts Medical School a $5.6 million grant – the largest incentive of its kind we’ve ever given in the Commonwealth – for an energy-efficient, 14,000-square-foot expansion of its power plant.
