The 2008 Chairman’s Awards aim to recognise the outstanding achievement of employees,contractors and suppliers who go ‘above and beyond’ in the pursuit of excellence. For the first time, the Awards programme is being expanded beyond Safety, Health and Environment to also incorporate the areas of Inclusion & Diversity, community contributions and customer service.
Through the Awards programme, our supply chain partners will have the opportunity to have their personal contribution – or that of their team – recognised. The Awards provide an opportunity to share best practice and provide visibility of the local initiatives taking place across National Grid. The nomination process has been kept broad to encourage as wide a participation in the programme as possible.
