The Board of National Grid plc welcomes the findings and recommendations of the Davies Review ‘Women on boards’, recognising the business benefits from a high quality Board comprising individuals with an appropriate range of skills and experiences.
The Nominations Committee regularly reviews the balance of skills, experience, independence, diversity and knowledge on the Board and its Committees, but is mindful that in all appointments we secure the best candidate for the relevant role. Our Board currently comprises three women Non-executive Directors.
The Board supports the engagement of executive search firms who have signed up to the voluntary Code of Conduct in response to the Davies Review.
The targets set by the Davies Review continue to be important factors when pursuing the diversity objectives of the Board.
