About Us

Electricity: National Grid owns and maintains the high-voltage electricity transmission system in England and Wales, together with operating the system across Great Britain (excluding Northern Ireland).

Gas: National Grid owns and maintains the high-pressure pipelines known as the National Transmission System, transporting gas from import terminals to major centres of population and some large industrial users, such as power stations.
